As a lifelong football fan and someone who’s always loved the buzz of a half-time draw, I was genuinely excited to work on the Fulham Flutter. It’s a proper part of the matchday experience at Craven Cottage, so helping bring it into the digital world while keeping that sense of tradition was a real privilege. Seeing it go live and used by thousands of fans was one of those proud little moments that remind me why I love doing this work.

The Brief
The Flutter has been running for years, and like the half time prize draw at most clubs it is a much loved institution. It is part of the furniture. So when Fulham FC approached me to build a new version from scratch, I jumped at the chance to work with them again. The brief was simple – create an all singing, all dancing platform that could sell prize draw tickets to fans per game, or as a season ticket that updated its price as each game began. Also, create a custom and randomised prize draw that picked three winners for each game. So… maybe not that simple.
The Result
I couldn’t have asked for a better case study than this one. The new Fulham Flutter platform launched smoothly at Craven Cottage and hit the ground running. Fans can now purchase tickets on a game-by-game basis or grab a season-long entry that automatically updates as each fixture goes live — no need to re-buy, no chance of missing out.
The system is completely tailored to Fulham’s needs. Behind the scenes, a robust admin dashboard gives the club full control over match scheduling, ticket pricing, live draw timings, and prize management. Everything is automated and secure — including the randomised winner selection, which picks three winners per game in real time and logs each result for transparency.
From a fan’s point of view, it’s fast, intuitive, and mobile-first. From the club’s point of view, it’s streamlined, scalable, and built to grow. Ticket sales have increased, operational overhead has dropped, and the entire matchday experience has been given a digital upgrade — without losing the tradition or charm that makes the Flutter special.
Fulham FC were delighted with the outcome and have already started planning future features. For me, it’s the perfect example of how thoughtful design and solid development can modernise a legacy experience without losing the soul of it.
