A change to my charity work

A change to my charity work

Written on: 21/07/2014

Anyone who has been following my blog or been on my site will know that I currently do something called Freelance Friday. It’s an initiative where I give one day of my time each month to a small/medium sized charity and help them to develop their digital strategy and work out a method of growing their audience.

Now, having had a think, I am thinking that instead of Freelance Friday, I may have a bit of a change. I would really appreciate your comments below on this too.

So, I am thinking that I’ll pick a charity of the year to work with, and that charity will get 12 days of my time (1 per month, or as a block) to either build them a new website, or help them to create a bigger digital strategy revolving around their Search Engine Optimisation, Pay-Per-Click or Social Media requirements.

I am not sure at the moment if working with one charity would be better than working with 12 over the course of the year. Yes, I’d be working with fewer charities, but the single charity I work with would get much more out of it. As I say, I’d appreciate your comments below.

So if you work for a charity, know someone who works for a charity, or just want your say, then please do so, I am very keen to hear the general consensus on this idea.

Thanks,
Rob
